Chalk and Notch Pixie Tee

Chalk and Notch have just released a fabulous new top and dress pattern and there are a couple of options to choose from.  A long sleeve or short sleeve top with a plain bottom band or hem ties and a dress version.  You can interchange the sleeves and bottom bands to suit your style.  Designed to have a loose fit this pattern could quite easily become a wardrobe staple.

I was thrilled to be part of the pattern test group!  I made the top with short sleeves and the plain bottom band in a white bamboo jersey as that was what I had in my stash. The top is so comfortable, I love it and plan to make a few more. The top came together really quickly and I love the band at the bottom. Although it is a loose fit it is still flattering, which suits me perfectly as I don’t like tops that are too tight fitting!

The fabric you choose does need to have good stretch and recovery.  The instructions do come with a really handy chart so you can test the percentage of stretch your fabric choice has.

The pattern ranges from sizes 0-18 and has easy to follow instructions, it is a digital download and also comes with an A0 file if you prefer to use a print shop rather than stick a pdf together.  The pattern is also layered so you can just print the sizes you need.

Everyone in the pattern tester group on Facebook were really friendly and on hand if you needed any advice or help.  There are lots of gorgeous versions on Facebook and Instagram if you need any inspiration!
